Pinpoint triggers

To address problems with gambling it helps to recognise the triggers which make you want to gamble.

To identify your triggers, start by documenting them in a journal.

  • What were my thoughts before I gambled?

  • What did I feel before I gambled?

  • What type of gambling did I participate in?

  • How long did I spend gambling?

  • How much money did I lose?

  • What were my thoughts after I gambled?

  • What did I feel after I gambled?
